BugHerd alternative

The BugHerd alternative that hands feedback to your coding agent

Clients pin comments on the live site, as they do in BugHerd. Skyelight adds the source file and line behind each element, so Claude Code, Cursor or Codex can fix the thread and reply on it. There's a free plan, and Pro starts at $29 a month.

Free plan. Reviewers are free on every plan.

Why teams switch from BugHerd

Start free, then $29 a month

BugHerd has no free plan. Its Standard plan is $50 a month ($42 billed yearly). Skyelight has a free plan, and Pro is $29 a month with your seat included.

The file and line, not just the selector

BugHerd records the element's CSS selector. With Skyelight Build, every thread also carries the source file, line and commit behind the element, so nobody hunts for where a fix goes.

Agents close the loop

Hand a thread to your agent to investigate, plan or fix. It opens the right file, can open a pull request, and replies on the thread so the client sees the answer where they asked.

When BugHerd is the better choice

BugHerd is a good fit if you need video feedback or a Jira, Asana or Monday.com integration today, and your team works through a task board rather than a coding agent.

Skyelight and BugHerd: common questions

For most small teams, yes. Skyelight has a free plan, and Pro is $29 a month including your seat, plus $9 for each extra paid seat. BugHerd starts at $50 a month for 5 members and has no free plan. Clients and reviewers are free on both.

No extension if your site has Skyelight Build: the review badge lets reviewers pin in any browser. Reviewers sign in once with a free reviewer account, so every comment has a name on it.

BugHerd's MCP lets an agent read, update and comment on tasks. Skyelight's threads also carry the source file and line, so the agent starts in the right place. You can hand each thread off as investigate, plan or fix, and the agent replies on the thread when it's done.

There's no importer yet. Most teams start new projects in Skyelight and finish open work in BugHerd. If you need help moving, email support@skyelight.ai.
