Pastel alternative
The Pastel alternative built for the code behind the page
Pastel is a review canvas for websites, PDFs, images and video. Skyelight is built for websites and web apps: each thread is pinned to the element and, with Skyelight Build, carries the source file and line, so Claude Code, Cursor or Codex can fix it. There's a free plan, and Pro is $29 a month with unlimited projects.
Free plan. Reviewers are free on every plan.
Why teams switch from Pastel
Unlimited projects for $29
Pastel Pro is $35 a month ($29 billed yearly) for 2 users and 3 canvases, and unlimited canvases start on Team at $119 a month. Skyelight Pro is $29 a month with unlimited projects and your seat included, plus $9 for each extra seat. A team of five pays $65 a month.
The file and line, not just a screenshot
Pastel gives your agent the page, the pinned element and a screenshot. With Skyelight Build, every thread also carries the source file, line and commit behind the element, plus any errors, console warnings and failed requests from just before the pin.
Agents that know what was decided
Both tools let an agent fix a comment, reply and resolve it. Skyelight hands each thread off as investigate, plan or fix, can open a pull request, and gives the agent the project's decision log, so it doesn't undo what the team already settled.

When Pastel is the better choice
Pastel is the better fit if you review PDFs, images, videos and emails alongside websites, want clients to approve each version formally, or need guest feedback on a free plan.
Skyelight and Pastel: common questions
Pastel is a review canvas for many kinds of work: websites, PDFs, images, video and email. Skyelight is built only for websites and web apps, and goes deeper on the code: with Skyelight Build, each thread carries the source file, line and commit behind the element, plus recent errors and failed requests, so a developer or coding agent starts in the right place.
Usually, yes. Both have a free plan. Skyelight Pro is $29 a month with unlimited projects, plus $9 for each extra seat. Pastel Pro is $35 a month for 2 users and 3 canvases, and its Team plan, with unlimited canvases, starts at $119 a month for 5 users. Five people on Skyelight Pro pay $65 a month.
Both let a coding agent read comments, fix them, reply and resolve. Skyelight's threads also carry the source file and line, you can hand each one off as investigate, plan or fix, the agent can open a pull request, and it sees the project's decision log before it changes anything.
On Skyelight Pro and Team, a project can take guest feedback: clients type their name and pin, with no account. On the free plan, they join with a free reviewer account. Pastel allows guests on every plan. Reviewers are free in both.
