Website annotation tool
Annotate any website, right on the element
Click a heading, a button or an image on a live page and leave a comment. Skyelight pins it to that element as a thread your team, your clients or your coding agent can act on.
Free plan. Reviewers are free on every plan.
Annotate a page in four steps
No screenshots to mark up, and no “third button from the left”.
1. Open the page
Use the Chrome extension on any page, or the review badge on a site with Skyelight Build. Production, staging and preview links all work.
2. Press C and click the element
Pick the exact heading, card or button you mean. Highlight text to comment on a phrase.
3. Write the comment
Skyelight suggests a type, such as bug, idea or copy, from what you wrote. You can change it.
4. Reply, assign and resolve
The thread stays on the element. Assign it, hand it to a coding agent, and resolve it once the fix is live.
What every annotation captures
The exact element
Each thread is pinned to the element you clicked, and finds it again after the page changes.
Page context
The markup and styles around the element, so developers see what you saw. Form values are never included.
A screenshot, if you want one
Turn on screenshots to attach an image of the area, with the pin marked. Form fields are covered.
The source file and line
With Skyelight Build, every thread carries the file, line and commit behind the element.
A type and an owner
Feedback is sorted into types you define, and each thread can have one owner.
The whole conversation
Replies, decisions and status live on the thread, next to the element they're about.
Who uses it
Agencies and their clients
Clients join as free reviewers and annotate the build themselves, so feedback arrives already pinned to the right element.
Designers reviewing the build
Pin every gap between the design and what shipped, on the real page, not a screenshot of it.
Developers and coding agents
Claude Code, Cursor or Codex read the threads over MCP, fix them in the right file and reply when they're done.
Website annotation: common questions
A tool for leaving comments on a web page itself, instead of in screenshots, emails or spreadsheets. With Skyelight you click an element on a live page and write a comment. It becomes a thread pinned to that element that your team can reply to, assign and resolve.
Yes. With the Chrome extension you can annotate any page you can open, in production, on staging or on a preview link. With Skyelight Build in your app, reviewers can annotate from the review badge in any browser, with nothing to install.
Not if your site has Skyelight Build. The review badge sits on the page, so clients pin in whatever browser they use. Without it, they install the Chrome extension. Reviewers are free on every plan.
The page, the element and its markup and styles, so the thread still finds its element after the page changes. Turn on screenshots to attach an image of the area. With Skyelight Build, it also records the source file, line and commit. Form values, passwords and payment details are never captured.
