The side panel

The side panel shows your project’s threads next to the page they’re on. When you open a thread, its element is on the page beside it.

The thread list

The panel lists every thread in the selected project, grouped by page, with the page you’re on first. You can filter by status (open, deferred, resolved or all) and by type, and change the grouping and sort order. These are the same filters as in the web app.

When you click a thread:

  • If it’s on the current page, the thread opens next to its marker.
  • If it’s on a different page, the tab goes to that page first.

In an open thread you can reply, react, change the type or status, and see the screenshot and page details.

Markers on the page

Markers show while the side panel is open in that window, and hide when you close it.

Press H to hide or show the markers while the panel is open. The extension remembers this choice across pages and restarts. With the panel closed, H shows the markers until you next open or close the panel.

Links in notification emails and in the web app open the thread’s page with the thread ready to show. Chrome allows an extension to open its side panel only after a click, so the page may show a prompt asking you to click once.

Chrome blocks every extension on chrome:// pages and on the Chrome Web Store. On those pages the panel asks you to open a regular page.
