Assignments
Assigning a thread gives it one owner. The thread appears in that person’s My inbox, and Skyelight notifies them.
Assign a thread
Owners, admins and collaborators can assign any thread to one person in the workspace, or clear the assignment. Reviewers can’t assign threads.
The assignee is notified in the app, by email, and in Slack if they’ve connected it. Assigning a thread to yourself doesn’t notify you.
A resolved thread can’t be assigned. Reopen it first.
My inbox
My inbox lists every thread in the workspace that’s assigned to you, across all projects. Once the getting-started checklist is done, the workspace opens on My inbox. The sidebar shows how many new assignments you haven’t seen.
From My inbox you can resolve or defer a thread without opening it, or mark it for a coding agent. See Agent handoff.
Assigning through a coding agent
A coding agent connected over MCP can assign threads for the
person it acts for. It accepts a person’s name, email or me. The same rules
apply: the person needs an owner, admin or collaborator role, and a resolved
thread must be reopened first.
