Product teams
Product managers work between what people say and what gets built. Skyelight collects feedback on the pages it’s about, with a type and a one-line summary on each thread.
The problem
Feedback reaches a product team from everywhere. Sales hears it on calls. Support hears it in tickets. Leadership drops it in a DM. Designers and engineers keep their own lists. Each source has its own format and its own idea of what’s urgent.
The PM spends the day collecting and rewriting: copying notes into tickets, chasing down what someone meant, and answering “did we ever fix that?” from memory.
The reasons behind decisions get lost. Six months later, nobody remembers why the settings page works the way it does.
Where Skyelight fits
Skyelight gives the whole company one place to point at a specific element. Anyone in the workspace can open the product with the Chrome extension or the review badge and pin a thread on the thing they mean. Sales, support, leadership and the build team all leave feedback in the same format, on the same pages.
The PM reviews and prioritizes threads instead of rewriting notes into tickets.
How product teams use it
- See what’s reported most. Merged duplicates count as extra reports on the thread that was kept, so you can prioritize by how many people hit the same issue.
- Keep the backlog accurate. Every thread is open, deferred or resolved, so the list reflects where the work stands.
- Catch up on a project. A coding agent connected over MCP can list what changed since you last looked: new threads, new replies, and threads resolved or deferred.
- Prepare hand-offs. The project review, read by an agent over MCP, returns resolved threads, deferred threads with their reasons, what’s open and the longest discussions. Use it for sprint reviews, stakeholder updates or release notes.
- Keep decisions on file. The decision log quotes threads that were resolved or deferred after a discussion. When someone asks why, the answer is in the thread.
What you get
- Less time collecting and rewriting feedback, and more time deciding.
- Priorities backed by report counts and threads.
- Stakeholders see their thread answered on the page where they left it.
- The reasons behind the product are recorded in the threads.
